Monica was born in the Soviet Union and was there when it ended. She experienced first hand the unexpected tragedies and difficulties that can come in life. This developed in her a great sense of compassion for those around her. She speaks English, Russian and Uzbek fluently. She came to America in 2015 with a love for business and schooling in auditing and accounting. After arriving in the U.S.A., she worked for free for an a year with an accountant to learn the ropes of U.S. accounting. Monica has been employed in various roles in both the public and private sectors. Upon being made aware of the great need for supervised visitation providers, she was eager to start a business to help families build, develop and reunite. Her compassion for people is the heart of Chesapeake Family Visitation.
Andy retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons after 26 years. He started his career as a Correctional Treatment Specialist in 2000, working in drug treatment. He was part of a team that created and ran the Bureau's pilot Residential Drug Treatment program, in a federal prion hospital near Boston. As the needs of the prison system changed, he was tasked to be part of the team that created the pilot program for sex offender treatment. Andy then moved with the Bureau to South Carolina and spent six years providing criminal thinking treatment to inmates in federal prison. He moved again with the Bureau in 2012, back to his home state of Maryland, were he provided oversight for drug treatment , sex offender treatment and mental health treatment contracts at federal halfway houses in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Andy's final change was to become an investigator, using his knowledge and skills in criminal behavior to develop, pursue and resolve investigations. One of his special focuses was on sexual misconduct and trauma informed interviewing.
Prior his work in corrections, Andy had founded a community psychiatric support program in Maryland during the 1990's. He worked with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness to help them become independent in the community, rather than spend their life in and out of psychiatric hospitals. In all, Andy has had over 30 years of experience in human behavior. He is the technical expertise of Chesapeake Family Visitation.
